Ganeinu Long Day Care and Preschool
  • Providing high-quality Jewish education and care for young children, fostering a strong Jewish foundation in a nurturing environment.

  • We are proud to be one of only two preschools in the area with an "Exceeding" rating.

North Shore Mikvah
  • Our new Mikvah, completed in 2022, features beautiful female and male suites, as well as a Keili Mikvah.

  • It is used by an average of 30 women per month, providing a peaceful and sacred space for ritual immersion.

Holiday and Community Programs

Sukkot

  • Family Celebration: A joyful family-friendly event attracting over 300 people

  • Sukkot Farbrengen: Kumzitz and farbrengen for men, with over 100 attendees

  • Sushi in the Sukkah: A unique, creative event where the community enjoys the mitzvah of eating in the sukkah, attended by over 150 people.

  • Simchat Torah: A festive celebration with a full catered dinner and special kids' hakafot.

Chanukah

  • Chanukah on the Green: The highlight of our Chanukah celebrations, attracting over 3,000 people with entertainment, food, fireworks, and participation from all community Shuls and organizations.

  • Chanukah Ceremony at Council Chambers: A formal event hosted by Ku-ring-gai Council, attended by government representatives, community leaders, and 70 members.

  • Chanukah Displays: Menorah displays at 5 locations across the North Shore, including Pacific Highway, Gordon, St Ives Shopping Village, Woolworths St Ives, Westfield Chatswood, Hornsby, and Warringah Mall.

  • Chanukah Events in Westfield: Menorah lighting ceremonies in Westfield Chatswood and Hornsby, each attended by 50 people.

  • Chanukah in Manly: A family-friendly event held in Manly Corso since 2023, now attracting 150 people.

  • Chanukah in Mona Vale: A new event for 2024 in Mona Vale Park, featuring live music, food, and amusement, with over 100 attendees.

Purim

  • Dinner for Adults: A lively Purim dinner with entertainment and a delicious catered meal, attended by over 120 people.

  • Family Event: A carnival-style family event with over 200 attendees enjoying activities, shows, and the mitzvot of Purim.

  • Distribution of Mishloach Manot: Sharing joy by distributing traditional Purim gift baskets to community members.

Pesach

  • Communal Seder: A welcoming communal seder to celebrate Passover together, held on both nights of Pesach.

  • Distribution of Shmurah Matzah: Providing Shmurah Matzah to over 400 families across the North Shore to enhance their Passover experience.

  • Moshiach Seudah: A special uplifting meal to end Pesach, with over 80 participants.

  • Sale of Chametz: Offering a full chametz sale service, with a ceremony to purchase back chametz at the conclusion of Pesach.

Lag BaOmer

  • Community Bonfire and BBQ: A vibrant community event with a large bonfire, BBQ, kids' amusements, and over 400 people attending.

Shavuot

  • Shavuot Community Dinner: A full three-course dinner with guest speakers to celebrate Shavuot.

  • Tikun Leil Shavuot Learning: Over 80 people gathered to study on Shavuot evening with Rabbis, Rebbetzin, and local community speakers.

  • Ice Cream Party: A fun family-friendly ice cream party, with two events and over 100 children attending.

Adult Education and Women's Programs
  • JLI - Jewish Learning Institute: Engaging courses exploring Jewish philosophy, law, and history, with over 30 people attending each course, available in person and on Zoom.

  • Lectures and Weekly Classes: Regular educational sessions covering Tanya, Talmud, Chassidus, and one-on-one learning.

  • Farbrengens: Traditional gatherings with inspiring interstate or overseas guest speakers, music, and catered dinners, attended by 50-100 people.

  • Torah and Tea: A monthly women’s program combining Torah study and social connection, with over 80 attendees.

  • Young Jewish Professionals: Social and educational programming for young Jewish professionals.

Youth Activities
  • After School Classes – St Ives: Weekly interactive and creative Jewish education classes for over 40 children.

  • After School Classes – Narrabeen: A new 2024 program reaching the growing Northern Beaches community, with 15 children attending.

  • Bar & Bat Mitzvah Classes: Preparing children for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, with programs highly regarded by both members and non-members.

  • Camp Gan Izzy - Vacation Care: Fun and educational vacation programs for over 80 children, held for at least four weeks each year.

  • CKids Shule: A creative and welcoming program for children, encouraging them to enjoy coming to shule with their families.

  • CKids Jewish Club: Exciting Jewish-themed activities, including a monthly Birthday Shabbat with close to 100 attendees.

  • CKids Shabbaton: A shabbaton hosted at our campus with youth leaders and children from across Australia and New Zealand.

  • JewQ Competition: A Jewish knowledge competition with weekly review classes, tests, and an Australia-wide Shabbaton. Over 30 children participate, with the winner representing Australia at the international Ckids Shabbaton in NY.

  • Mummy and Me: A program for toddlers and their mums, fostering early Jewish connections and friendships among young families.

  • CTeen Events: Engaging programs for teenagers, blending Jewish learning, leadership development, and social activities. In 2025, our renovated CTeen lounge hosts monthly events attracting 20-40 participants.

Social and Welfare Services
  • Helping Hands Project: Providing assistance to families in need through community meals and support.
     
  • Maot Chittim - Helping Needy Families for Pesach: Distributing funds and food to ensure every family can celebrate a joyful Pesach.
     
  • Subsidised Rent: Offering subsidized rent to families in need, helping them maintain stability during difficult times.
     
  • Counselling, Hospital, and Home Visitations: Offering emotional and practical support, including visits to the sick and elderly.
Congregation Beit Menachem
  • Ladies Guild: Empowering women through participation in weekly kiddushim and community events.
     
  • Membership: Strengthening the congregation through membership, creating a sense of belonging and friendship.
     
  • High Holidays: Uplifting services for members and non-members, creating vibrant and meaningful experiences.
