The Mikvah is a cornerstone of Jewish family life. It is used by brides before their marriage, and by married women. Private classes are available on the laws of Family Purity, of which Mikvah is a part, for both brides and those long-married.

The North Shore Mikvah Asher V'Chaya was built in 1999 and dedicated in loving memory of Rabbi Asher and Chaya Abrahamson OBM.

The Mikvah building is located in the car park of the Ganeinu Long Day Care and Preschool, 97 Killeaton Street, St Ives NSW 2075.

Since the sale of the Killeaton Street property, plans have been submitted to Council for the construction of a beautiful new Mikvah at Chabad's College Crescent campus.

The Mikvah houses a lovely waiting room and two preparation rooms, with all the amenities. Each preparation room is equipped with a multi-directional shower and bathtub. Amenities available to help with your preparations include fluffy towels and robes, and all toiletries.

The Mikvah is a pristine miniature pool of warm water. It is meticulously cleaned through a natural oxidation process. After you descend and immerse once in the warm Mikvah waters, you recite a blessing and then immerse again. This is an opportune moment to pray for yourself and for all your loved ones. Handouts with specific prayers are available upon request.
